The tsunami scare, with the sirens blaring, the move to higher ground, the severe warning from local TV stations, etc. was exhausting for Andrah and her family, but thankfully was only a scare. No major tidal waves hit these islands.
Beforehand, they were able to see the wildlife reacting...sensing the approaching danger. The whales "put on a show," jumping and flipping their tails. The dogs and the birds make a ruckus. And they watched as boats were taken out to sea, where there would be no danger from tsunami waves.
I was reminded of the question the disciples asked one another, after Jesus had "rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still." They asked, "What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
Andrah will have quite an adventure recorded in her first year's baby book!
