My daughter has been "de-locked." No, it wasn't quite a Jo in Little Women moment, and definitely not a Samson and Delilah. It was a "my hair is really long and it's time to cut it" moment. Thirteen inches were shorn off, and will be sent to Locks of Love, which provides hair prosthetics for children who have developed long-term medical hair loss.
Here she is in their hill country vacation home, holding her "tail." Having not seen her since IKE and her subsequent long-term power loss here in Houston, I have yet to view her new tresses. But she's always had a head full of thick hair, even as a newborn, so I'm sure she'll look great, despite the severe "de-locking'!
