Last week our family enjoyed a visit with a friend from INDIA, Mekala Devedas. My son-in-law, Nick, realized how difficult it was for him to adapt to the unfamiliar food in America. Hearing that Mekala's wife had always prepared a steaming cup of Chai tea for him each day back home, Nick went about experimenting until he had prepared a cup that was "just like in INDIA!"
All of us enjoyed sipping that hot, slighty sweet, milky Chai tea. But the taste was undoubtedly enhanced by such tender fellowship among friends.
